The Plastics Export Promotion Council (popularly known as PLEXCONCIL) sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Commerce, Government of India, represents the exporting community in the Indian Plastics industry.

Role : Assistant Director – Research and Development
Location : Mumbai
Experience and Qualification :

The candidate should be a postgraduate with specialisation in International Trade/ Economics; and should possess a minimum 10 years of work experience. He / she should be proficient in the use of computers. Postgraduate from IIFT, Delhi will be preferred.  Salary will be as per industry norms and according to eligibility. Applicants should be minimum of 40 years and maximum of 50 years. Description :

  • Conducting research, surveys and analyses.

  • Contributing to research on national and international trading models that drive the construction of high frequency trading strategies.

  • Authorship of reports, articles and opinion pieces

  • Researching relevant market news and content for all market segments

  • Research, Analysis and reporting on current bilateral trade

  • Regular analysis and reporting of data and statistics on the Plastic sector.

  • Analysis of opportunities and risks in priority overseas markets for the Plastic sector.

  • Research and analysis to make recommendations on strategy for senior management to promote exports of Plastic trade.

  • Knowledge of the International Trading frameworks and institutions as well as Indian government systems.

  • Create presentations with charts and graphs to present to higher-ups and management

  • To conduct bilateral trade analysis

  • To compile inputs for negotiations on various trade agreements.

  • Assist in organizing membership outreach events and promotion of Trade Fairs and Buyer-Seller Meets
  • Support and assist in all initiatives and activities being organized by council to promote exports
  • Expand reach of council’s activity among non-members and expand membership base of council
  • Follow up and Facilitate renewal of existing members
  • Identify issues being faced by exporters and assist in taking measures to resolve them
